Prof. Boris Kryštufek, PhD

iSCB instructor
Head of the Institute for Biodiversity Studies, Science and Research Centre, University of Primorska, Slovenia Head of Vertebrate Department, Slovenian Museum of Natural History, Slovenia

Dr. Kryštufek is a conservation biologist, with expertise in taxonomy, evolution, phylogeography, biogeography and conservation of terrestrial mammals. His interests also include biodiversity research and conservation. He has conducted different research projects in south-eastern Europe, Asia Minor and South Africa; also having first hand field experience from various European countries (Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Norway), North America and south-east Asia. He is conducting long term monitoring on the population biology of the edible dormouse Glis glis.
